Velvet twins

Nire jostun afizioak, pertsona asko ezagutzeko aukera eman dit, hasi nintzenean ez nuen espero horrenbeste lagun egingo nituenik...oso eskertua nago!

Mi afición por la costura me ha dado la posibilidad de conocer a mucha gente, cuando empecé no pensaba que haría tantas amigas...¡estoy muy agradecida por ello!

My love of sewing has given me the chance to meet many people, when I started I did not think that would make many friends... I am very grateful for that!

Gaurko josketa proiektua Wendyrekin partekatzen dut, urte hauetan ezagutu dudan neska maja ta jostun itzela! Gainera, pasadan urtean oihal online denda zabaldu zuen, niri bere oihal aukeraketa ikaragarri gustatzen zait. Orain dela hilabete batzuk Bilbon, Rafael Matiasen izan ginen eta belusezko oihal eder hau erosi genuen. Erronka oihala erabilita zerbait jostea izango zen.

El proyecto costurero de hoy lo comparto con Wendy, una chica majísima y buena costurera que he conocido estos años. Además, el año pasado abrió su tienda de telas online y su selección de telas me encanta. Hace unos meses estuvimos en Bilbao de cotilleo y comprando telitas, en Rafael Matias encontramos esta preciosa tela de terciopelo y cada una compró un poquito. El reto era cosernos algo con esta tela.

I share today´s sewing project, with Wendy, a nice girl and good seamstress! Last year, she opened her online fabric store and I love her selection of fabrics. A few months ago, we met in Bilbao to gossiping and buying fabrics and we found this lovely velvet fabric in Rafael Matias. The challenge was sewing something with this fabric.

Instamgramen jarraitzen nauzenek jakingo duzuen bezala, josi dudan soinekoa By Hand London patroi etxe independientearen Anna Dressa da. Soineko honek buruhauste dezente eman dizkit...neurria gaizki kopiatu nuen patroitik, oihala plantxarekin erre nuen, remalladorarekin zuloa egin nion...neurriarena kagada itzela izan da! Bularraldean kilometro bat oihal soberan dudala uste dut baina beno etxekoek oso dotore nagoela esan didatenez pozik nago! Gehiagorako denborarik ez daukat.

Las que me seguís en instagram sabéis que el vestido es el Anna Dress de By Hand London. Este vestido me ha dado más de un dolor de cabeza...primero copié mal el patrón en papel, luego quemé la zona del hombro con la plancha, con la remalladora me cargué una costura haciéndole un agujero...la mayor cagada ha sido lo del tamaño, ¡creo que me sobra una kilometrada en el pecho! Pero bueno los de casa me han dicho que estoy guapa, así que todo me da igual, ¡ja, ja, ja! No tengo tiempo para nada más.

Those who follow me on instagram know that the dress is Anna Dress  from By Hand London. This dress has given me headache and more... first I copied the wrong size on paper, I burned the shoulder seam with iron, with my serger I made a hole in the skirt... the biggest error has been the wrong size, around the chest I have too fabric! Anyway my family told me that I'm beautiful with my new dress, so take it easy! Ha, ha, ha! I have no time for more.

Argazkia begiratzen nagoela...paparreko bistak berriro josi behar ditut ia buelta ematen didate...aiaiaiiaiaiai! Mahukak eta beheko tolesdura eskuz josi ditut, horrela askoz hobeto geratzen dira eta barrualde osoa remalladoraz josia dago. Hobetoen geratu dena kremallera da, ze pozik nagoen!!!

Ahora que miro la foto...las vistas del escote las tengo que volver a coser....aiaiaiaiiaiaia! Las mangas y dobladillo estás cosidos a mano, así quedan mucho mejor y el interior lo he cosido con la remalladora. Lo que mejor ha quedado es la cremallera invisible, ¡qué contenta estoy!

Looking at the picture, I have to sew better the neck facings, they need a more delicated finished! The sleeves and hemline are sewn by hand and inside seams with the serger. The best part is the invisible zipper, it is perfectly sewn!

Soinekoa berriro ere josiko dudala uste dut (dagokion neurria erabiliz noski...), erosoa da eta silueta honek edertu egiten nauela uste dut. Patroia Telarian erosi nuen.

Por lo demás es un vestido que sienta genial y creo que lo voy a repetir (en la talla que me toca claro...). Por cierto el patrón lo compré en Telaria.

This dress is flattering and comfy, I have to repeat it in the right size ha, ha, ha! I bought the pattern in Telaria.

Bada amaitu dut, Wendyri bisatxoa egitera animatzen zaituztet, bere soineko dotoreaz gozatu dezazuen. Musu handi bat.

Blue velvet

Eoooeoeoeoeoeoeoeo ba al dago inor? Kar, kar, kar! Hementxe naiz eta gauza piloa dauzkat zuei kontatzeko :-) Azken aldi hontan blogosferatik hurrun izan naiz, joste prozesu-abentura batetan guztiz murgildu naizelako. Patronaje ikastaro batera apuntatu naiz! Patroiak nola sortzen diren ikasi nahi nuen eta Trakabarrakak antolatzen dituen tailerretako batera apuntatu naiz. Tailerra Bilbon da eta ederki pasatzen dut jostea maite duten beste neska batzurekin batera! Ia hurrengo astean gure klasearen argazki bat erakusten dizuedan.

Eoooeoeoeoeoeoeoeo hay alguien ahí? ¡Ja, ja, ja! Yo estoy aqui y tengo mogollón de cosas que contaros :-) Ultimamente he andado desconectada de la blogosfera porque un proceso-aventura de costura me tiene super ocupada. La cuestión es, ¡que me he apuntado a una clase de patronaje! Estoy aprendiendo a crear patrones desde tus medidas, en un curso de Trakabarraka. El curso es en Bilbao y me lo paso genial, disfrutando de la costura con otras chicas que les mola coser! A ver si la semana que viene os enseño una foto de nuestra clase.

Eoooeoeoeoeoeoeoeo anyone there? Ha ha ha! I am here and I have loads of things to tell you :-) Lately I walked off of the blogosphere because a sewing process-adventure has me  very busy. The question is that, I have pointed to a pattern making class! I am learning to create patterns from my measurements, in a course hosted by Trakabarraka. The workshop is in Bilbao and it is being  much fun, enjoying sewing with other girls who love sewing! Let's see if next week I will show a pic of our class.

Askotan esan dizuedan bezalaxe nire joste metodoa "di-da joste metodoa" da, hau da ziztu bizian josi! Kar, kar, kar! Ikastaroko irakasleak somatu dit hori, pare bat astetan nire gorputzaren beheko partearen patroi basea egin eta nire gona diseinatu eta josi baidut! Ez nuen uste hain erreza izango zenik, tentuz egin beharreko lana da, baina gero lasai asko josi dezakezu justu zure neurrikoa ateratzen baita, pasada bat! Nire diseinua belus urdinaz josita dagoen gona da. Aurrekaldean sakelak josi dizkiot eta tolesdura txiki batzuk, atzekaldean gona bakeroek izaten duten kanesua dauka.

Muchas veces os he comentado que mi método de costura es el "más rápido que la luz" método de costura! Ja, ja, ja! La profesora de patronaje ya se ha dado cuenta de eso, en un par de semanas he dibujado mi patrón base de la falda, he diseñado una falda y la he cosido, quien es la rápidilla ahora? Ja, ja, ja! No pensaba que sería tan fácil de hacer, aunque es un trabajo que hay que realizarlo cuidadosamente luego el resultado es una pasada! Mi falda la he cosido con un precioso terciopelo azul. En la parte delantera tiene bolsillos y unos pliegues y en la parte trasera un canesú como las de las faldas vaqueras.

Many times I have said that my sewing method is the "faster than light" method of sewing! Ha ha ha! The teacher already has known my method, because in a couple of weeks I have traced my skirt block, I designed a skirt and I sewed it. I did not think it would be so easy to do, although it is a work that needs to do it carefully then the result is amazing! My skirt is sewn with a beautiful blue velvet. In the front has pockets and pleats and at the back a yoke such as denim skirts.

Gona kremallera ezkutuaz ixten da eta sakelak eta gerrikoak sorpresa daukate barrukaldean, marradun ehuna erabili dut kontrastea emateko. Gaurkoan gona erakusten dizuet baina iadanik jantzi baten patroiean lan egiten nabil :-)

La falda se cierra con una cremallera oculta en la parte de atrás y los bolsillos y la cinturilla tienen una sorpresa en la parte de dentro, he utilizado otra tela para darle contraste. Hoy os estoy enseñando la falda pero, ya estoy trabajando en el patrón para coser un vestido :-)

The skirt closes with a invisible zipper in the back and pockets and waistband have a surprise on the inside, I used another fabric to give contrast. Today I'm showing you my skirt but I'm working on a pattern to sew a dress :-)

Oso erosoa da, gustora jantzi dut. Udazkeneko hego haizeak bazterrak berotu arren eta belusa negurako izan arren, nire gonarekin harrotasunez pasiatzera atera behar nuen, kar, kar, kar!

Esta falda es super cómoda y la he llevado super agusto. Aunque el fuerte viento sur de otoño nos este dando con fuerza y aunque el terciopelo sea para invierno, no he podido resistirme a un paseito con mi nueva falda, ja, ja, ja!

This skirt is super comfortable and I've enyoyed my walk. Although the strong south wind is blowing and although the velvet is for winter, I could not resist a little walk with my new skirt, ha ha ha!

Barnekaldea asko zaindu dut, gerria biesarekin amaitu eta josketa denak overlockerrarekin egin ditut.

Los detalles interiores también los he cuidado, la cinturilla esta rematada con bies y todas las costuras están rematadas con mi remalladora.

I care about also all the interior details, the waistband is finished with bias binding and all seams are finished off with my serger.
